What Are You Thinking About?

We are driving around this afternoon and Manny says the cloud looks like a race car. He is so pre-occupied with racing; he thinks about it a lot. It is good to think about some things a lot, but there is one thing that is clear we are to think about:

Philippians 4:8, Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.

The Bible also says we are to “fix our eyes, mind, or thoughts” 8 times. That means God really means it. If He brings it up that much we are to remember it and more than that, we are to obey it.

So where are your thought and eyes?

Are they focused on God and the things He tells us to focus on?

I hope so.

The season has gone too fast. Only the Classic left at MIS. I hope you remember that I would be glad to help in any situation that may come up whether it be family, work, financial… Are you searching for hope, for truth, for answers.

Crowned Champion

So it was Championship Night already. Wow the season has gone fast. Now four were crowned and we have one more this coming Friday. As I thought about the night and about just a guy in each division getting “crowned” I thought about the hard work so many did. There are a lot of you guys that work your job and then come to the shop and work for hours to get ready. Many fans do not understand the hours of labor it takes to get a car race ready. Thanks for your hard work to entertain us. God is not like that, just choosing one out of a big group. He is willing to “crown” all who come to Him on His terms. Listen to these two verses:

1 Corinthians 9:25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Revelation 2:10 …Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.

We can be crowned with salvation and then we have something to worship the Lord with. In Revelation we are told we cast our crowns at Jesus’ feet in worship. So I hope you are ready for that day. Do you know for sure that you are saved? Are you a champion in God’s eyes?
