Good to hear Casey is getting home from the hospital. That is an answer to prayer. We take our lives and health for granted far too often. Every day is a blessing from the LORD.
This morning I was going down the Interstate and of course getting buzzed by. It is a construction zone posted at 55 and I was going a little faster than that and there were still cars going by me at 65 plus. As I watched one guy come up fast and blow by me I thought, “Wow, if a Trooper was here we would all be going 55 or under.” But we were confident that no one was going to pull us over.
Then I thought, “Man, that is just how it is with God far too often.” We think we are not going to get caught. No one is going to know. No one is going to stop me… It shows how little we know (Hebrews 4:13) and fear God (Proverbs 14:27; Isaiah 8:13), because the Bible says God knows everything we do and even every thing we think. Nothing goes unnoticed! We are going to be held accountable for our words (Matthew 12:36), actions (Romans 14:12) and thoughts. Most of all we are going to be accountable to what we have concluded about Jesus. Is He LORD (Romans 1:20) and did we live as a servant to a Master.
One more reminder, the law is there to show us one thing – we fall short of the law, we need a Savior to pay for our sin (our falling short).
Looking forward to the racing Friday!!!
If I can help you know how to find me, have a great day racin’ in the SONshine,
