2 Samuel 22:1-4 (part 2)

Last week we started a set of lessons from 2 Samuel 22. Here are the verses again
2 Samuel 22:1-4 David sang to the LORD the words of this song when the LORD delivered him… He said: “The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior- from violent men you save me. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. (from NIV)
David starts his “song” with the LORD. We have to start there first also. We need to catch little things in studying just like in racing. The other day one of the guys said a $3 toggle switch had them off the track and of course no one would check that first. So they left that evening and it was not until they got back to the shop when they found it.

I want to stop and think about the little word ‘my’. Is the God of the Bible your God or do you allow something or someone else first place, highest priority in your life. I warn you that you do not want to do that. God, the one and allow God needs to have first place in your life. I reminded the guys this morning at Bible study that we are to be in awe of the Creator of life and the universe. Some religions miss the personal relationship that God wants with us. Don’t miss that relationship. Don’t miss His glory. Take time to look into the little things that could be missing. Don’t miss heaven and the opportunity to worship the LORD for eternity.

See you at the track soon and have a great day racin’ in the SONshine,

Todd
