Unexpected Endings

I have to say I was completely surprised about the canceling of this last weekend. I do understand as I have seen what happens when it is wet at MIS. It is a mess. I know there were also other factors I have not even considered. As I sit here and think about Unexpected Endings I think about the multitudes that are going to have an unexpected ending in life. I seriously pray that you have thought about this and that you know for sure that the body ends life but we continue on into eternity.  I want to share this very important message with you.

God has used His Spirit and Word, the Holy Bible to communicate that there is a choice that must be made this side of life.  In Hebrews 9:27 it say, Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,. We are given this life to hear and see God at work and to respond to His call to us. His call that 1) we are sinners, Romans 3:23-24 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus and 2) God, Jesus is the only way to salvation, John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. He is LORD. He is holy, sovereign, perfect. Throughout the Bible God proclaims who He is and during that off season we are going to study His attributes. God declares in Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. So we know that wages is what we buy. We buy death with sin, our sin. But there is hope if we will surrender and follow God’s law. Listen to Romans 10:9-11 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” This means that God way for salvation is for us to rely on God not self or works (Ephesians 2:8-10) and then if should see a major change in our lives, see2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! This verse is really a key because it is more than going to church, baptism, praying a prayer, or communion. It tells us our life will be changed if we really give ourselves to God.

Now I say all this because I do not want you to have an Unexpected Ending. I want you to be ready for that judgement that counts for eternity. Are you ready? Do you know you are saved and are you living that way?
