The Refining Fire of the LORD

It was a good night of racing Friday. It was neat to see several racing multiple divisions and it was cool to see the super late out again. All four divisions put on good races. Hopefully the four drivers involved in the crashes of the Madison Lates are okay. Last I talked to them they were okay.

I want to thank John and the Vietnam Vets for putting up the crosses and reminding us. It helps me to remember to pray for the soldiers fighting overseas. It also helps me remember to pray for the thousands that lose their lives to abortion.

Also, as we pray we need to remember the people in Minnesota and also Jon Minor.

As Jeremy and Nate’s cars had the fire I thought about how God to wants to burn off the things that are not of him. We are told the Lord is a refining fire. Psalm 12:6 says And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times. The Bible also reminds us that God’s judgment will burn off the things that are not good and we will be left with the things of Him (1 Corinthians 3:12). So it is important that we know what pleases the Lord and do those things. I pray often for the drivers and the teams at MIS as well as many other tracks. One of my prayers is that we all finish safe. It has been kind of a tough year on a lot of drivers and teams.

Have a great day racin’ in the SONshine,
