Do you get asked, “how did you do”? I am guessing you get that often. It must get boring if you are like Robert? NOT! You all push yourself and your team to improve and keep racing hard and faster.
I know we have talked about this seems like every Friday but again we are going to see repeats of what we have learned before. For me I need the repeat. It helps me remember and challenges me. It is the question of, “how did I do?”
This chapter is packed and we are going to look at just a small section:
John 15:9-17“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit–fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other.
First, we are back on “love”. God loves us, we are to love Him and others.
Second, remain in love
Third, the greatest of love is laying down your life.
Fourth, we are called “friends”! WOW, that is cool.
Fifth, friends obey commands.
Sixth, we are chosen by God.
Seventh, we are to bear fruit.
Eighth, we are to bear fruit that lasts and that is eternal!
Ninth, the Father gives when we ask in His name (conditional!)
Tenth, in case you missed it – Love each other!
